NERVOUS BRIEFING
Math

Nov. 3 - What do I want? Magnanimity. When do I want it? Now. Whom do I want it from? Everyone.

That means I don't want to hear a Bush victory speech until the Kerry campaign has been mathematically eliminated from taking Ohio. It also means I want to hear a Kerry concession speech as soon as the Kerry campaign has been mathematically eliminated from taking Ohio.

I think everyone, everywhere, feels more or less the same way I do. I think the big fight is going to be over the definition of "mathematically eliminated."

Ladies and gentlemen, start your calculators.

I'll try to post on the Blog and the Message Board (see the Discussion link below) as the day goes on and events unfold. But having been awake since about 4am local time (having gone to bed about 1am local time), I reserve the right to collapse in bed at any time.

Happy Hump Day!
