DAILY BRIEFING
The Moron's Daily Briefing

Nov. 4 - Today is the last full day of saturation media in the 2002 Congressional Elections. Americans are urged to stop reading this immediately and immerse themselves in propaganda by way of preparation for tomorrow's sacred national rite of neglecting to vote.

(Roughly 40% of the eligible American electorate is expected to cast ballots tomorrow. The Moron's Almanac is saddened by this number but believes that with a determined effort we can reduce it to 30%. Just imagine: a nation in which we enjoy all of the same liberties and privileges, but in which only a third of us are required to make the bothersome trip to our polling places.)

Today is National Unity Day in Italy and Constitution Day in Tonga.

It's the birthday of Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs (1970), Ralph Macchio (1962), Yanni (1954), Markie Post (1950), Loretta Swit (1937), Martin Balsam (1919), Art Carney (1918), Walter Cronkite (1916), and Will Rogers (1879).
